Nearly every day during months of COVID-19 pandemic isolation, Garnett would get up early (to avoid people) and do a constitutional walk. Checking 'the mountain' was still there, watching boats and planes, and thinking about her family on the other side of the world became as important as the physical benefits of a daily walk.
